Terms of Use

Ato · Effective 9 October 2026

Agreement

By downloading or using Ato, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Licence

You may use Ato on Apple devices you own or control, for yourself, under the App Store's terms. The licence is personal, non-exclusive and can't be transferred.

You may not:

Your content

The scans, photos, videos and files you make with Ato are yours. I claim no rights to them.

You are responsible for what you scan and share. Ask before scanning people or private places, and follow the laws where you are.

The one-time unlock

Ato's unlock is a single purchase made through the App Store, and Apple handles the payment. Refunds are requested from Apple under its policies. If you reinstall Ato or move to a new device, use Restore Purchase in Ato's menu to unlock it again.

Accuracy

Ato is made for capturing and creating, not measuring. Scans can be incomplete or distorted, and nothing Ato produces should be relied on for surveying, construction, navigation, safety or any other purpose where accuracy matters.

No warranty

Ato is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent the law allows, I disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. I don't promise that Ato will run without errors or interruption.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including lost data or lost profits, arising from your use of Ato or your inability to use it.

My total liability for any claim about Ato or these terms is limited to what you paid for Ato in the twelve months before the claim.

Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Updates and availability

I may update, change or stop offering Ato, or any of its features, at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts in California, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it there.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, this page will be updated and the effective date above will change with it. Using Ato after a change means you accept the updated terms.
